Closely related or commonly associated species are sometimes grouped together to make the results manageable. Please use an existing option when your character fits it.
Does a humanoid species count?
Elf, dwarf, goblin, orc and similarly humanlike species are not included. A humanoid character can still be entered if their form fits one of the character types below.

About the project
Made out of pure curiosity.
The Furry Species Census records how people describe the species of their original characters and fursonas. The archive keeps each survey year separate because category names and response methods have changed over time.
The figures describe survey respondents, not the entire furry community. They are best read as community snapshots rather than a scientific estimate of every furry.
